Am I legally exposed hiring a Filipino VA as a contractor in Australia?+

Potentially yes. Pascua v Doessel Group (2024) confirmed offshore contractors working set hours under direction may be classified as employees, with fines up to $93,900 AUD. Resora's EOR structure keeps you completely outside that jurisdiction.

How is Resora different from Remote.com or Deel?+

They are legal wrappers only, $950–$1,100 per person per month, with no recruiting and no ongoing management. Resora does all three from $150/month.

Am I exposed if I hire directly as a contractor?+

If your worker has fixed hours, uses your systems and follows your direction, a contractor arrangement can create employment ambiguity. Resora is structured to reduce that risk.

Who is the legal employer?+

Resora is the formal employer. You direct the day-to-day work; Resora handles the employment layer.

What does the monthly fee cover?+

Recruitment, employment setup, payroll, compliance handling, HR check-ins and ongoing support.

Is salary included?+

No. Salary is agreed separately and passed through at cost. The management fee covers Resora's service.

Can you employ someone I already work with?+

Yes. Resora can move an existing Philippines-based contractor onto a compliant employment structure without breaking the working relationship.
